PROXY Laboratories B.V. is a well-known contract laboratory located on the BioScience Park Leiden. Founded in 2001 it has gradually expanded its activities from basic pharmaceutical raw materials testing via analytical method development to stability studies on finished (bio)pharmaceutical products.
Currently PROXY employs over 50 employees divided over the chemical, biochemical and microbiological laboratories. PROXY recently invested in state of the art analytical and manufacturing equipment to speed up the product development process of her clients.
The newly (Mibiton) acquired UPLC-QTOF-MS and UPLC-TQD-MS equipment enables PROXY to perform biomolecular characterisation, impurity profiling, assay & purity analysis and related studies on oligonucleotide and other biopharmaceutical products. The analytical R&D department of PROXY was expanded with experienced PhD's in these activities.
Very recently, PROXY was successfully inspected by the Dutch Health Inspectorate. The inspectors will advise positively on PROXY's request for a GMP manufacturing license for the aseptical fill & finish activities as well as the test on sterility. This means that PROXY will be allowed to manufacture and analyze small-scale batches of clinical trial material (CTM). With this new service especially young biotechnological companies can cross the bridge from R&D to clinical manufacturing much faster.
